My celebrant journey started after my father died. I had the privilege of writing and delivering his eulogy and found such comfort in doing so. I did however realise that not everyone has the skills or confidence to deliver such an important speech. I also recognised the need to have something personal and bespoke, and that I could work together with someone to create and deliver a distinctive ceremony.

I embarked upon a comprehensive wedding course with The Academy of Modern Celebrancy. Step by step I learnt how to use the skills I had to create and conduct the best ceremonies possible from start to finish.

I am not affiliated to any particular religion or belief system. This ensures my neutrality and openness to any symbolic elements that you may wish to incorporate into your ceremony. I believe that everyone has someone out there and that ‘love is love’ and who am I to dictate what that looks like. I embrace diversity and am an LGBTQ+ friendly celebrant.

Born in London, raised in Yorkshire, it was only a matter of time before I made it to Scotland. I moved here when my then partner, now husband got a post as a firefighter in Inverness. We had always loved visiting the Highlands on our days off and on holidays and one day he asked me, if a post came up would I move there with him. I responded in the affirmative and a week later a post came up….

Originally from London, I was born there to an unmarried couple from Australia who had met on the boat over. An exotic mix of Danish and Chinese I was put up for adoption and was welcomed whole heartedly into my new incredible family who by the time I was two had moved myself and my three older brothers to Yorkshire.

Yes ! With celebrant led ceremonies there are no restrictions. It is your wedding ceremony and therefore should reflect your beliefs and values. Many couples have included hymns, Bible readings and prayers in their wedding ceremony.

I am based in Glenurquhart, near Drumnadrochit in the Highlands of Scotland, but can cover the whole of the Scottish Highland area which is the same size as Belgium. Also, the UK and abroad.

I am unable to do the legal side of a wedding. This can be done cheaply and easily in a registry office by a registrar. At this appointment you only need to sign your paperwork, you can save your exchange of rings and vows for your celebrant led ceremony which will be full of your uniqueness with no restrictions on content. Just as we celebrate the day a child is born, not the day their birth is registered birth;- your true wedding, the one where you commit your lives to each other, will be the one you celebrate, not the day you sign the paperwork.
